한밤중 광주시내 조폭 난투극?

7일 광주지법 형사11부(고상영 부장판사)는 폭력행위 등 처벌에 관한 법률 위반(단체 등의 구성·활동) 등 혐의로 기소된 28명에게 최대 징역 2년을 선고했습니다. 이들 중 16명은 징역형의 집행유예를 받았고, 12명은 실형을 선고받았습니다.

이들은 2014-2022년 국제PJ파 폭력조직에 가입해 활동한 혐의로 기소됐습니다. 이들 중 18명은 지난해 1월 27일 새벽 광주 도심에서 충장OB파 조직원들을 공격하기 위해 광주 도심에 20여명을 모집한 혐의도 받았습니다.

이날 자정, 광주 서구 술집에서 충장OB파 2명이 국제PJ파 5명과 시비가 생겨 구타를 당한 뒤, 다른 충장OB파 조직원이 현장에 나타나 국제PJ파 조직원 중 1명을 또 다시 폭행했습니다.

두 조직은 광주 광산구의 한 유원지에서 전면전을 벌이기로 결정했지만, 경찰의 첩보를 받아 해산됐습니다.

재판부는 “피고인들은 폭력단체 활동에 가담해 죄질이 좋지 않으며, 재판 중이거나 다른 범죄로 처벌받고 누범 기간 중임에도 자숙하지 않고 범행했다”고 말했습니다.

 

On the 7th, the 11th Criminal Division of Gwangju District Court, headed by Judge Go Sang-yeong, sentenced 28 individuals who were indicted for violating the Act on the Punishment of Violent Acts, etc. (membership and activities of an organization), to a maximum of two years in prison. Sixteen of them received suspended sentences, while twelve received actual imprisonment.

They were accused of joining the violent organization, International PJ Group, and engaging in activities from 2014 to 2022. Eighteen of them were also charged with recruiting about 20 people in downtown Gwangju last year on January 27th to retaliate against members of Chungjang OB Group.

On the same day, two members of Chungjang OB Group were assaulted by five members of International PJ Group at a pub in Gwangju's Seo-gu, and another member of Chungjang OB Group who came to the scene also assaulted one of the International PJ Group members.

The two groups decided to engage in a full-scale battle at a park in Gwangju's Gwangsan-gu, but it was disbanded after the police received intelligence.

The judge stated, "The defendants were involved in violent group activities, and their criminal actions are not favorable. Even though they were either undergoing trial or serving punishment for other crimes, they did not restrain themselves and committed the crime."
